Zymax^® Hollow Fiber Bioreactors

The Zymax Plus hollow fiber bioreactor offers the advantages of three dimensional cell growth for increased culture productivity. Cells are inoculated into the extracapillary space of the hollow fibers while culture media is circulated through the lumen. The porosity of the fibers allows nutrients and oxygen to perfuse the culture while CO₂ and metabolic wastes are removed. Based on the mammalian circulatory system the unique Zymax Plus cell culture design provides much denser cell growth with better viability than other conventional cell culturing systems such as flasks and roller bottles. And now Zymax Plus is even easier to use with Spectrum's new 1/2-inch hose barb inlet/outlet port and side port connection design.
