The CellGas modules are ideal for the gentle and efficient oxygenation of bioreactor and fermentation cultures.
The CellGas modules consist of a loose bundle of hydrophobic polypropylene hollow fibers potted on both ends
in an inlet/outlet connection cap. Pressurized oxygen is supplied via the inlet/outlet port, continuously
passes through the hydrophobic pores of the fibers and quickly dissolves into the culture media.
Other conventional oxygenation techniques, such as sparging, stirrers and shaking can often damage the
cells in suspension, reducing cell viability and protein production. Cell-Gas modules are available in
three different surface areas for the full range of bioreactor sizes. The CellGas oxygenation modules used
in conjunction with CellFlo® or new CellFlo Plus perfusion modules provides the complete cell culture bioreactor package.
