A variety of replacement needles are available for the Spectrum's Glenco™ Double-Action
micro syringes. These needles are manufactured of type 304 stainless steel and are fixed to a needle hub and
Teflon® seal.
These needles are sold in packages of 2.
The sharp needles have a deflected point; this prevents the hollow bore of the needle from contacting the septum as the need is
inserted. Since the needle bore does not contact the septum, it cannot cut a
"core" from the septum which could either become lodged in the needle and plug it or fall into your
solvent container or injector. The point deflection also minimizes the damage to the septum by the
needles, allowing both the septum and the needle to last longer.

To maximize precision these needles have a smaller inner diameter than standard
needles. For example, a standard 26 gauge needle has a 0.010 inch ID. The smaller
0.006 inch ID reduces the needle volume to only 1/3 that of the standard needle.
This reduction is even more significant for the 24 and 25 gauge needles.
